Ronan is a centaur, that lives in the Forbidden Forest, and is distrustful of humans, although he tried to protect Harry Potter and Hermione Granger from the other centaurs in 1996, pointing out that they were "foals". He is described as speaking with a doleful tone, and seems rather peaceful compared to other centaurs.
He led the charge of the centaurs from the Forbidden Forest during the Battle of Hogwarts, breaking through the Death Eater ranks into the Great Hall. It is likely that he witnessed the final battle Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter.

2017-2018 school year[]
During the 2017-2018 school year, Ronan was already part of the centaurs band led by Firenze. Around the same time he found himself present when his band saved Albus, Scorpius and Hagrid the trap created by Yaxley and the Acromantula's attack. After this, Ronan helped other centaurs to carry the wounded body of Malcolm Baddock to Hagrid's cabin.
