Professor Jeremiah Smith was a pure-blood wizard, son of Helga Hufflepuff, one of the founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the first Muggle Art teacher at Hogwarts.
Jeremiah, due to its position as the son of Helga Hufflepuff, one of the first students to study at Hogwarts and was logically sorted to the house of his mother. After graduating from Hogwarts, Jeremiah was hired by the founders to take the new elective created with the departure of Salazar Slytherin as a way to better interact with the Muggle-borns. So Jeremiah was the first professor of Muggle Arts and taught these subjects until one of the heirs of Slytherin assumed the directorship of Hogwarts and resigned him.
Jeremiah Smith took his resignation to delve on the arts in general. He is considered one of the most famous wizard who specializes in Muggle Art.
One of his most famous lines, which is regarded by all his personal motto is: "If you don't know paint, combine some colors and say it's abstract'".
